‘WORP’ is an cross-media improvising collective, combining musicians, visual artists and dancers. Through each performance, they explore the borders of the different media involved. By definition, music and movement are temporary, mobile and repeatable. Plastic arts are unique, static and made for eternity. The collective brings unique, not repeatable music and exercise combined and confronted with plastic arts and this with a pronounced temporary performance character. The action leads to the idea, the interaction shows the way. Intrigued by the intersectional possibilities between liveness and structure, this event will offer an insight to the collaborative methods of Total 2017. It is not so much a performance in the conventional sense with a full dramaturgical arch, but rather fragments of experience that emerged in the frame of our 3 weeks collaboration.   Date: 28 July 2017 Duration: 50 mins Venue: Seoul Dance Center Total 2017 is a meeting of 5 artists from South Korea, Portugal, Greece and Germany. Jin Young Park, Nuno Lucas, Pavlos Kountouriotis, Sofia Kakouri and Tobias Gronau met in Hamburg in the summer of 2016 during Treffen Total. Influenced by the working methods of Sweet and Tender Collaborations, Treffen Total was an encounter of twenty-six artists with the goal of exchanging ideas and challenging modes of collaborative production. After that meeting, the five of us decided to pursue further this method of exchange because we trust it can produce a dynamic and fertile ground for individual and collective development.
